The Idea

Summer Is a Bridge, Not a Break

A rising grade is the grade your child enters this fall. Across subjects, the first weeks of a new year depend on skills learned earlier: reading fluency supports science, number sense supports algebra, vocabulary supports writing, and organization supports every class.

We strengthen the foundation from the year just completed, then introduce the opening concepts, vocabulary, routines, and learning demands of the year ahead.

How Summer Bridge Works

A Plan Built Around Your Child

No generic packet and no identical plan for every learner. Each program begins with a subject-by-subject placement check and finishes with a clear readiness profile.

i

Placement Check

Short diagnostics identify what is secure and what needs support in the selected subjects, including prerequisites, vocabulary, fluency, reasoning, and learning habits.

Starting point
ii

Targeted Refreshers

When a gap appears, the teacher provides focused support before moving forward. Time is spent where it matters, not on material already mastered.

Close the gaps
iii

Eight Bridge Units

The plan combines review with previews of the year ahead through live teaching, visuals, guided practice, reading, writing, discussion, and real-world tasks.

The core
iv

Readiness Profile

A final check shows progress by subject and identifies the best Week-1 starting point for fall. Families receive practical next steps.

Why It Works

Summer Learning, Reimagined

i.

Previews, not just review

Strengthen unfinished learning and introduce important ideas, vocabulary, and routines from the rising grade.

ii.

Diagnostic-driven

A learner may need deeper reading support, a light mathematics refresher, science vocabulary, or stronger study routines. The plan adjusts.

iii.

Curriculum-aware

Teaching is mapped to the learner’s grade, subject, and curriculum framework rather than forcing every family into one sequence.

iv.

One connected plan

Reading supports science, vocabulary strengthens writing, mathematics supports data reasoning, and study skills improve the whole school day.

Common Questions

Everything Parents Ask Us

What is Summer Bridge?

A live one-on-one academic program that helps a child move confidently from the grade just completed into the grade ahead through placement checks, targeted refreshers, bridge units, and a readiness profile.

Which subjects are available?

Mathematics, English and Literacy, Science, Languages and ESL, Study Skills, Test Preparation, or a personalized combination.

Can my child combine subjects?

Yes. Some learners need one concentrated pathway, while others benefit from a balanced plan such as mathematics plus reading, English plus science vocabulary, or academic English plus study skills.

What does “rising grade” mean?

It is the grade your child enters this fall. The program uses both the completed grade and the rising grade to decide what to refresh and what to preview.

How long is the program?

Choose four days a week for six weeks, three days a week for eight weeks, two days a week across twelve weeks, or a once-a-week Core Track of nine sessions.

Is it aligned to my child’s school curriculum?

The plan is mapped to the grade, subject, and curriculum framework selected for the learner. We confirm the school system or framework during consultation.

How does pricing work?

Pricing is discussed during the complimentary consultation and depends on cadence, subject mix, grade level, and the support required. Families receive a clear plan before enrollment.
