Week 01 – Day 2: Introduction to the Writing Process

This unit, Grade 7: Introduction to Writing, helps students learn the basics of how to write well. They explore the different steps of the writing process—planning, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing—using tools like the Writing Process Chart. Students also learn about the main types of writing, such as descriptive, narrative, expository, and argumentative. Through guided lessons and practice, they build confidence and improve their ability to express ideas clearly. At the end of the unit, there is an assessment to show what they’ve learned and how ready they are for more advanced writing.
